| One of my focuses in home learning is music. The children take violin lessons and two of my children are teaching themselves the piano. I keep asking if they want formal lessons, so far no. |

| At the beginning of each year I get a list of the Primary songs for that year and practice them. I teach them to the children daily at our "Gospel Study" otherwise known by some other home schooling families as "Devotional" (hi, Marlene). |
|
| It was a big undertaking for me to learn to play the piano again but with the Lord's help it didn't take too long (I'm not great but can play hymns and primary songs- my goal). And the benefits are that when the children see me learning and practicing they want to play what I'm playing so we have to schedule time on the piano. I don't have to ask them to practice, they love music and would play all day if I didn't suggest they need to do their math! |
