| Parents know their children better than anyone else and have the deepest love and concern for them. Parents also have the most direct and long-term responsibility for their children from the Lord who commands parents to teach their children the most important things they will ever learn. |
| Educationally, one-to-one tutoring has many advantages over classroom lecturing. |
| Quality textbooks and materials are chosen by parents to assist them in teaching all subjects. A parent does not need to know everything about a subject to be able to teach it. Dr. Ray of the National Home Research Institute conducted a research study in 1998 of the standardized test results for home taught children nationwide. He found these children to average at or above the 94th percentile in all subject areas. (The national average is the 50th percentile.) |
