| Private schools may award high school diplomas when the student completes the high school curriculum. Many private colleges or Universities do not require testing. Occasionally SAT, ACT or GED tests may be required by a college. |
| Many colleges and universities offer nontraditional programs for off-campus study. Off campus study goes by different names some of these are Distance Learning, Independent Study or Correspondence. It is possible for students to study at home for college credit and full degree programs through distance learning courses, electronic media and CLEP tests.

| Our daughter received her Associates of Science degree in management from an accredited university at age 16. She then transferred to the University of Utah for awhile and is currently earning her Bachelors degree from Indiana State University which she expects to receive around age 18. |
